Support for Charities.

  • Expert advice.

We offer charities and faith-based organisations a way to tap into national-level safeguarding and education expertise without adding to your payroll. Drawing on experience of leading safeguarding and governance across a national children’s charity and a group of 11 alternative provision schools, we act as a trusted sounding board for CEOs, DSLs and trustees, helping you think through complex cases, new projects and governance questions with both impact and risk in view. Whether you want a one-off consultation or an ongoing relationship, you get clear, practical advice focused on keeping children safe and ensuring your charity delivers the difference it was set up to make. Individual consultation sessions cost £80 an hour and you can book here.

  • Safeguarding support.

For some charities we become a long-term safeguarding partner, providing the reassurance that experienced advice is available whenever you need it. That can include case-by-case guidance, supervision-style conversations for your safeguarding lead, training for staff and volunteers, or an extra layer of accountability for small organisations that do not have in-house expertise. The focus is always on building sustainable processes and confident people, so safeguarding becomes a strength of your charity rather than a hidden worry for leaders and trustees.

  • Safeguarding for trustees.

Our safeguarding for trustees training is designed specifically for charity boards who want to understand their responsibilities without getting lost in jargon. The sessions are designed to bring a bespoke approach working with trustees to develop vision and action around safeguarding. Using materials that cover key legislation and guidance, how to read and challenge a safeguarding policy, what “good” looks like in safeguarding paperwork and the practical actions trustees should be taking, we give boards a clear, shared framework for oversight. Trustees leave with a better grasp of risk, the right questions to ask of senior leaders, and greater confidence that they are fulfilling their duties to keep children and young people safe.

  • Safeguarding audits.

Our safeguarding audits give trustees and senior leaders an honest, detailed picture of how well your charity is protecting the children, young people and vulnerable adults you work with. Each audit includes a site visit, conversations and surveys with staff or service users where appropriate, and a full written report, followed by supported action planning so you are not left wondering what to do next. The process is grounded in current statutory guidance and our experience of leading safeguarding across schools, charities and alternative provision, so you can be confident that your practice will stand up to external scrutiny. Audits cost from £550

  • Policy authoring.

Good safeguarding policies should genuinely guide practice and also satisfy regulators, funders and partner organisations. We support charities to develop and write safeguarding policies and related procedures that are tailored to your context while reflecting the latest national guidance and expectations. Drawing on our experience of creating full policy suites and compliance toolkits for organisations working with vulnerable young people, we help you cover areas such as safer recruitment, behaviour and conduct, information sharing and responding to concerns in a coherent, easy-to-use set of documents.

  • Leadership coaching.

Leading a charity that works with vulnerable children can be both a privilege and a pressure. Our leadership coaching offers a confidential space for CEOs, heads of service and senior leaders to reflect on strategy, safeguarding culture, staff wellbeing and personal resilience, with a coach who understands education, charities and faith-based contexts. Building on extensive experience of charity leadership, including coaching dozens of leaders in challenging settings, we help you clarify priorities, navigate difficult decisions and stay focused on the young people your organisation exists to serve.
