KCSIE 2026 Non-school AP support
Specific support for non-school AP
We know you’re busy. We also know what it’s like to have to develop safeguarding training each year and review your policies every time new KCSIE training comes out.
Our latest package has pulled together summaries to help you grow your expertise, training materials ready to deliver to staff and policy changes you can add to stay compliant - all based on the most recent KCSIE changes.
What the package includes:Specific Non-School AP Content
The changes to KCSIE have been confirmed and should be in place in your AP from September 2026. We've put together a non-school AP specific set of training materials, a summary to build your expertise and materials to help you review and change policies to keep them up to date.
We’ve pulled together a list of the changes and how they relate to non-school AP. Make sure you and your safeguarding leads know and understand the new KCSIE.
Build Your Confidence
The package includes information about the new KCSIE’s impact on your policies and example paragraphs you can use as inserts to make sure your policies remain compliant with the new changes.
Policy Review
Our training includes a ready to deliver powerpoint, a full script and staff sign off sheets and a quiz to check understanding. If you’d like to make your session more interactive we’ve also got a few ideas we’ve added to the pack.
Ready to Use Training
As well as KCSIE the DfE have recently released guidance around restraint which has implications for the way we work in AP and should be important as we review our policies. We’ve included information that pulls out the key elements of this guidance for non-school AP and looks at implications for our policies and practice.
Extra restraint guidance
Every piece of paperwork and policy that we use has been proven, through LA QA’s, Ofsted and through some of the 100’s of APs we’ve worked with. We’ve worked with settings and LAs across the country to support successful opening.
“Really helpful, practical advice. Blew away the smoke and mirrors of LA advice.”
